Badminton

For the last four weeks on Wednesday class 9 have had Badminton lessons.

On Tuesday 27th May 9:40am class 9 went to the hall for badminton When we got there we had to sit down and listen to our instructor Danny, he was really cool.The first thing we had to do was a warm up and our warm up was stuck in the mud After our warm up we had to line up in two line’s and Danny gave us a racquet and a shuttle each.

We had to hit the shuttle with racquet,balance it,and we had a competition called Around the world and who ever hits the shuttle and will keep going till the end that person is the winner.I learned how to hit a good serve over the net by practising a lot. I learned how to dribble the shuttle on the racquet too. I wished that we still have badminton but on Tuesday that was our last day.

I really enjoyed badminton because it was a lot of fun the first time I went to badminton I thought it was boring. But once I tried it was really enjoyable.I learned how to do backhand serving and learned how to get a good shot by practising a lot. Next time i wish I could do better so when I grow up I could join badminton.      

  

NEVER GIVE UP

Today in C.R.E we sang a song called Digger,Digger,Digger and played a game.We watched a video called Mary Jones.

One thing I learned was to never give up.

One thing I enjoyed was the song Digger,Digger,Digger.

Malo lelei my name Akosita  and I am going to tell you all about the Titanic.

In 1912 April 10th the Titanic boat was sailing too fast and they spotted the iceberg too late.The Titanic boat hit into the iceberg and the iceberg made a hole under the ship the water filled up the Titanic and sadly in 2 hours and 40 minutes the titanic ship sunk    and 1,517 people died and 700 people lived and the captain of the Titanic boat was Edward smith.

C.R.E

In C.R.E Today we sang a song called Woopah wahey.Mrs Clark said the prayer for us.

Mrs Clark gave us a scripture from the bible and we decorated the scripture also it was lovley.

This term our topic will focus on the physical world science we are learning about forces and a particular buoyancy if the weight of an object when placed in water is less in the weight of the water displace the object will float.

The auckland airport

On wednesday during the holidays  my mum,dad,and my brothers woke up early at 3:00 am  and got ready then went to the airport to drop off my brother Sione he was going with his wife to melbourne to visit my brother Mercy.When it was time to go i really wanted to go to the airport but i couldn’t cause i was sick so they had to go without me then once they got to the airport they saw my brother and started to say goodbye then he went to go in the airport.

After they said goodbye they went to the wife’s family house just to talk about

how things are going on then my mum,dad,brothers came home and i was already tired and i fell asleep.The next day my brother sione rang  my dad,s cell phone and he was talking on the phone.When he rang i got to talk to him when ever i wanted because i didn’t get to go to the airport. When we were talking on the phone i asked him “ how is melbourne?” then he said “it is very hot but it is good”.

I felt very sad that my brother was going to melbourne because we were going to miss him.The most thing that i enjoyed was getting a chance to talk to him on the

cellphone. Next time if one of my other brothers go to melbourne i will make sure i am there with him.
