Ambassador Appplication

Hi my name is Akosita and I am 10 years old. I have 8 brothers and 4 sisters. My mum is full Tongan and my dad is part German.I would love the opportunity to be an ambassador to learn  more things and to do more things in my life. Being An ambassador means everything to me it will also help me be confident speaking in front of visitors and in front of the whole school. When I speak in front of visitors I would love to share my learning with them.

One of my blog post I've learned from and would like to share is the point England way.What I learned about this post is to be nice to each other,say their names and say excuse me.I learned how to post my learning on my blog and I learned how to draw an animation.Here is a link called  Good Friend about the point England way.

I hope I am considered as an ambassador. I will do a great job.

The things I have done to learn,create and share was a animation on the hyperstudio.I animated a story about gravity,objects that float .

We are learning to share our interpretation of what the artist is telling us through their pieces.

We are learning to find and use relevant parts of text to answer questions accurately. Here is some information about sneezing.Which parts of your body work together when you sneeze?Your brain,lungs,nose,mouth,and muscles. Why do people sneeze when they walk into bright sunlight?The U.V rays of the sun irritates the nose lining of these people so they sneeze.  

Good Friend

What does being a good friend mean?Being a good friend is important.I will explain three main ideas how and why being a good friend is important.

USE YOUR MANNERS

Using your manners is one of the important things you need For example:If I ask my friend for a rubber and she or he is just sitting there looking at you,waiting for you to say please and you don’t know what she is doing Then you ask her again may I use your rubber,she says “what do you have to say first”.I just stand there thinking what do I have say but I can’t think because my mine is going crazy, thinking what do I have to say then you.You ask your friend“ I do not know what to say” If you do not know what to say here is what you have to say”please”.There are three more manners you have to use Thank you,excuse me,and say people’s names.

HELPING EACH OTHER OR A FRIEND.

Helping each other is very kind and good also it will happen to you if you need help For example:If my friend and my classmates are sitting on the floor and they are listening to the  teacher then the teacher will say to them “does everyone know what to do” then the whole class says “yes” so their teacher tells them to go and there books,and pencils ready,so they did.when the teacher tells them to start writing they all started to write but my friend did not know what to do so he ask his mates could they help but they said to him “that is what happens when you don’t listen to the teacher “ so he ask his best friend if he could help him then his best friend said “sure”.His friend went to help him and the teacher saw him then she ask him “what are you doing” but he said “I am helping my friend” so then teacher said “ Thank you for helping him you are a superstar” then he felt like he was a superstar then he started to help everyone.

Athletis 2014

Do you enjoy athletics ? On Friday 14th November it was athletics day and we all gathered on the court.Mr Burt was saying a karakia that means a prayer.The weather was horrible it was raining and raining.Mr Burt said his karakia all of a sudden it stop raining and we thanked God for the lovely weather.

Mr Burt finished his karakia Mrs Va’afusuaga sent us into groups to go and do our activities with the teachers but each group only had one or two teachers. I was with the year five girls. and I really liked being with the year 5 girls because they cheered for me.I liked being with the year five girls because when we raced or did javelin they cheered for me I lose they just say “nice try but you will get better at it” and that made me feel good, also I would like to thank them for encouraging me. Our first event, I enjoyed shot put because when I threw the ball the coaches said great job then I smiled.When it was the finals I did not make it but I enjoyed it.When Mr Jacobson blowed trumpet we had to change to our second event and our next event was high jump.

We sat on front of the mat but then we had to move back to have space for when we run and jump. we moved back so they can have some space when they run and jump. It was my turn my heart was pounding so hard that I thought I would not make but my friends were cheering for me so I ran and JUMPED!I made it “YAY”! I but then we had to move back to have space for when we run and jump.Finals Miss king said then I made it to the finals and my friends Asia and Rima too. I jump again I didn't make but I was still happy because I came third.

I enjoyed athletics I wish we could do it again I was fun. The best event I enjoyed was high jump and discus.I enjoyed discus because we just danced and threw the discus  anywhere and had fun.
