Mrs Iloa I want to thank you for being a great teacher to team 5. You have been really amazing to all of us.

You are beautiful and you have an awesome personality. You are kind, intelligent, and you are beautiful. Thanks for all the hard word you have done at Point England school. Thank you for helping me with reading reading and thank you for keeping me on track. You are AWESOME!!!.

The Memorial Service

This week was a sad week for Point England. A great member of our school has died and I am very very sorry for there lost also today our school had a memorial service for her and her family. The lovely member of our school is Priscilla Tui, she was a great netball player, coach for the rugby team, and she will make sandwiches for children at our school for the children who don't have any lunch.  We all love Priscilla Tui and her family and will never forget her.

First 2 weeks at school

This year in my new classroom has been an awesome week at school. I always enjoy learning in class with my new funny teacher and my new class mates. This week in maths we have been learning about Statistics. Statistic means The study of gathering and analysing data. On each slide we learn what each type of graph means and we learn the meaning of words in the maths way for example:  We learn what Average, Scatter plot and other words. in the senior block it is fun and sometimes not fun. It is new and interesting. This year I am looking forward to going to Tamaki college and have a experience what it is like.

At Tamaki college we learn about science, Home materials, graphics, and food. Last year I know I improved alot but this year I am learning more and more and it is cool. We have been making up our own chants for our class room. This year I have new friends and it has changed alot and we also have to sleep early everyday because the seniors start at 8:30. When the bell rings we all sit in our street in our big space, and the year 8's has to say a prayer and a speech then one of the teachers.

Problem solving

I learnt how to solve difficult problems using different strategies. Thanks to my maths teacher for making me learn so fast and learning hard problems.'

All about me

My animation for term 4

Walt: write for an audience

This week I learned alot about polar bears and camels. Our class has to do one animation for each term but if that sounds easy it is not trust me. It takes alot of hard work because it like a side scroller game. Feel free to read and enjoy.

This term we had to do a animation about the desert and Antarctica. We had to choose one animal from Arctic and the desert for example I chose scorpion from the desert and a seal from Arctic. I will explain two main ideas about my writing.

For my animation i chose a camel from the desert and a polar bear from Arctic. I chose camel because the facts about the camels are really interesting. When the camels are thirsty they can drink a whole lot of water for example us humans can drink three bottles a day but camels can drink 10 bottles or more and they carry all that water in their tummy while they are travelling with people.

The Polar bear is awesome they can swim and dive in the water. They have plenty of fur to make them warm. When it’s summer some of their fur goes away but when it’s winter they grow more fur isn't that interesting. When the Polar bear is wondering around the snow the colour of their fur is really white but when they are in the water it turns to a different colour like yellow.It would be hard to choose the best out of the Polar bear and the camel. Which one would you choose?

My favourite part was learning about the animals it was very fun. Next time I would love to learn more about different animals and that was my favourite part. It felt really good to learn about different animals and different things, especially different animals so u know what is good for it, what kind of food it eats, and what are its habits. Cross country

This term we had cross country. It was sunny and the day was calm except the people.

Guess what! On Monday 11th we had cross country. I was getting very nervous i didn't even want to come school to race, I had to practice running and eat healthy but it we were going to race that day. Everybody was excited especially the little kids. The teachers also couldn’t wait to see us run. It was like everybody was going crazy over a race.

Our principal Mr Burt told us to all come and meet at the courts. Once we got there it looked colorful because everybody was wearing their house colour t-shirt. Our house colors were blue, yellow, red, and green. I was in blue and that is my favorite colour cool right. Our sports teacher Ms Vaafusuaga told us that it is going to be a little different first the year 1 girls go then the yr 1 boy, second yr 2 girls then yr 2 boys then it goes on the same time until it reaches the yr 5 after the year 5 goes the yr 7 goes then the yr 6, for last the year 8’s race.

When we sat down to watch the kids race it was exciting. We all saw they were having fun because they were smiling and laughing it was so funny though. The yr 7’s were finish it was our turn I was getting so nervous that I was shaking hard out. Mr Burt said go! we sprinted and I still had lots of energy until we got to the gate. Most of the girls were stopping but I was never gonna stop. We got to the field i was so tired I was going to stop but no then I was thinking what could I think of instead so I was thinking very hard then some inspiring words came to my head it was to NEVER GIVE UP.

It was really helping but the problem was I couldn’t breath so I stopped for a little bit and had a rest then sprinted I realize i was going really fast that i beat everyone who beat me. When the race finished I wasn’t pleased I was disappointed because I came fifth in cross country but that's not bad unless I didn’t came tenth or last. Well god bless the people who had fun and that participated in cross country.

Next year I will be ready to run. I am planing to come first, second, third, or fourth and if I don’t come in any of these places I will be mad but ill try hard to get their. I am very very very excited for the next special cross country coming up. Next time will prove that i am fast enough to race other students from different schools.

Last year at cross country I came third so I had to race the other schools. I did race other students from different school and guess what!! I came first, i was very pleased and happy i couldn’t even believe that i came first it's just like wow! Next year i am pretty sure it is just gonna be like that day : ) .






Thanks teachers for being great supporters and great leaders. You guys ROCK! Next year i wish I get to see the teachers race.
