Lady Esme & the stolen fire gems
WALT - Manage myself to complete tasks to the best of my ability.
This week's reading task was to read and understand the story that was given to us. Fill in each sheet in the presentation and draw the chimney sweeper from the story. The kings highly valued jewels were missing, someone had taken his crown with his precious jewels. The king really loved his crown he adored his jewels so he asked the wisest person Lady Esme to find the thief. Lady Esme was off to her mission.

Our own mixed nursery rhyme.
Walt: Use interesting language in our writing.
In our Literacy class we had to select two well known Nursery Rhyme put them together and make up a story. We also had to use these 5 words in our writing: Coincidence, observed, blurted, discreetly and ponder. My story is about Humpty Dumpty and Jack n Jill hope you enjoy reading.

Humpty Dumpty was so ill, so Jack and Jill went up the hill, to grab the awesome doctor named Phil. But jack fell down and broke his crown, and Jill came tumbling after. Up got Jack and said to Jill wasn't it a Coincidence that we both fell down the hill.
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall but Jack n Jill pushed him off and Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. Discreetly Jack and Jill had put Humpty's parts in the rubbish bin so they don't get caught. But accidentally Jill blurted out ”I can't believe we killed Humpty ”.
All the king's horses and all the king’s men had just observed what Jill had said, they saw Humpty lying there dead. They pondered about what Jill had done well jack spun back to the dump and gathered Humpty’s pieces near a farm.
Jack had put Humpty back together again and took him to the King’s men, they gave back Jill and paid their bill and went on back to do their drill.

AIM FOR SUCCESS!
Today we had a important visitor, he is a motivator talker and his name is Mr Andrew Patterson. The first thing he spoke to us was about our future, If we had any idea of what we want to become in the future? Some of us already had our minds made up but most of us didn't so we had to figure out what
A + I =M meant. A is for Aspiration, I is for Inspiration equals Motivation. '' If you
do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life'' by Mark Anthony. Andrew said that we should all be givers not takers, what goes around comes around, if you give you will receive more. There's other emotional, motivating things that Andrew also talked to us about, and I am actually happy that he told us all those things so we all know what's things are like. Big Massive Thanks to Andrew Patterson for coming over to our school and giving us a Fun, Motivating speech session it was wonderful having you here I hope you keep doing what your doing and keep spreading the message all over the world.

The floundering project.
Today was the day, where the whole school had to go down to Wai o Taiki bay to help and support the students who went to catch baby flounders. Around 9:10 the students walked down to the bay with all the teachers and arrived there around 9:30. We all stood there watching them catch the baby flounders for 5 min, then yelled and cheered for them as they fetch the fish. We sang a couple of waiata's then left back to school. Once we arrived at school we had a meeting then we set off to do our school work. A while after we heard some good news, the students that went to fetch fish they caught more than 20 baby flounders. With all those baby flounders we will keep them in a tank and look after them until they're all big then release them back into the ocean. Big Congrats to all the students who caught those baby flounders, you's all did a good job!!

Bubble Gum Slow Mo
This is a part of our Manaiakalani film festival movie for this year. Our class were put into groups and we were in charge of creating a slow motion scene. I was in a group with Machelle and Lotu and we created a slow motion scene of bubble gum bursting. It was hard to do because the bubble gum wouldn't always burst or it wouldn't be big enough. Finally we got some good shots. Enjoy.
